In continuing with its divisive policy in Nigeria, Secretary of State John Kerry and the State Department spent more than a $1 million to invite Northern governors to Washington, DC, and had meetings with them at 11:30 am at the State Department. This has become a frequent occurrence of the Obama administration which doesn’t believe in talking with Nigerian governors from south of the country.
It would be recalled that in August this year, Kerry went to Nigeria where he flew straight to Sokoto where he met with the Sultan, who is the head of the Islamic Caliphate in Nigeria. After that meeting, Kerry then met with 19 Northern governors and then flew out of the country. The Christian Association of Nigeria severely criticized Kerry for America’s divisive policies.
It would also be noted that the same preference for Northern governors occurred in April of 2014 when National Security Adviser Susan Rice invited 12 Northern governors to Washington, DC.
