The Nigerians in Nigeria Organization Europe (NIDOE) Greece Chapter is to honor Dr. Sam Chekwas, the publishing mogul of Seaburn Publishing that has become one of the largest black book publishers in America. In a letter announcing the award to Dr. Chekwas, the Chairman of NIDOE-Greece Chapter, Dr. E.U Oparaocha, wrote “I want to use this opportunity to bring to your notice and congratulate you for the good news about the unanimous decision taken by the Chapter to Honor your person, in our forth coming event that will take place on the 1st of November, 2014, Saturday evening; time 6-8 pm. The venue for the evening will be at the Hellenic American Union, Athens.
I once more congratulate you again, hoping to meet you on the above mentioned date for the ceremony.”
Apart from his publishing business, Dr. Chekwas is also the founder and chairman of the Elekwa Memorial Foundation, which recently (10/3/) held the Nigerian Independence Day celebration in New York, during which Chief Dr. Chika Onyeani, Publisher and Editor in Chief of the African Sun Times, and Hon. Ugochukwu Nwaokoro, Deputy Mayor of Newark, NJ were honored. Dr. Chekwas is also the president of the African-focused Lekki Consulting Group and the NigerianBusinessForum.org.
Dr. Chekwas speaks perfect Greek, translated many works into Greek as well as being honored many times by many organizations in Greece and received keys to several cities.
