Are The 69,456,897 Americans Who Voted for Obama Welfare Cheats and “Victims,” as Romney Said?

A video has emerged in which Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney called the 69,456,897 people who voted for President Barack Obama in 2008 are welfare cheats, who see themselves as victims and don’t want to take responsibility and care for their lives.  In other words, voters in the 28 states, plus Washington, DC and a congressional district in Nebraska.  The people living in those states are dependent on the government.

“There are 47 percent who are with him,” Romney said of Obama, “who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. These are people who pay no income tax.”

He said that his job “is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”

Writing in the Washington Post of 9/17/12, Glenn Kessler made this observation, “Some 44 percent of those who do not pay income taxes are because they benefit from tax benefits aimed at the elderly, while another 30 percent benefit from tax credits for children or for the working poor, according to a paper published by the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.

But not all of these people are automatically Obama supporters. In fact, according to a map published by the Tax Foundation, eight of the top ten states with the lowest income-tax liability are the heart of Romney country — the deep south. The only exceptions are Florida, a battleground state, and New Mexico, which leans toward Obama. Meanwhile, most of the states with the lowest level of nonpayers are Obama states.

As for other entitlements, of course Social Security and Medicare are reserved for the elderly — and are generally popular. But it seems simplistic to think these are all Obama voters, especially since polling indicates that the Republican share of the vote among white seniors have increased in each of the last five elections, to 58 percent in 2008.”  In other words, more states that vote for Romney and Republicans are states that pay the lowest taxes, while the reverse is the case with Obama.

Romney can make his brazen charge because it has become his modus operandi.  If you voted for Obama in 2008, you are dependent upon government, you believe you are always a victim, you believe government has a responsibility to care for you, you believe you are entitled to health care, to food, to housing.  And most egregiously, you pay no income tax.  This is a degrading insult that every one of the 69,456,897 people who voted for Obama should not take lying down, and must show Romney this year that he has no right to degrade their intelligence, their hardwork, the more taxes they paid than he did.

In 2008, 43% of whites voted for Barack Obama, 96% of blacks that did, including senators, governors, congressmen/women, lawyers, doctors, accountants, economists, you name them, are all dependent on government hand out.

Since this news broke, I have spoken to 23 people who voted for Obama in 2008.  According to Daniel, “I am incensed at Mitt Romney’s comment, I resent his characterization of everything I have worked to achieve as being solely dependent on government handout.  I resent the fact that I pay more percentage in taxes than he does.  I came to this country in 1975, worked hard while I went to school, graduated and went to medical school.  Unlike Romney whose father paid for all his private school, including college and the two degrees he got from Harvard, I had to pay for myself and I just finished the student loan I borrowed.  For this spoiled brat to charge that I am in effect a welfare cheat shows how his ignorance is only exceeded by his stupidity.”

Daniella said that anybody who casts a vote for Mitt Romney would be the greatest fool of all time.  “Listen,” she said, “my mother worked very hard, working two jobs, cleaning homes, to put me through nursing school and I am now a registered nurse.  Just like my mother, I work two or three shifts, because I wanted to make sure that I reward her for all her hard work raising me and putting through school.  I bought a house for her, paid my taxes, and Mitt Romney believes that I am dependent on the government because I voted for Barack Obama and going to vote for him again this year?  I pay more taxes as a percentage of my income, $29,000.00 in 2008, than Mitt Romney, and he is a traitor to this country.  He doesn’t believe in America, he is betting against America, otherwise why would he be putting his money in Swiss bank accounts, Cayman Island, where he knows that he has decided to cheat the government of this United States.  Well, I intend to vote for Obama again, and I say damn Mitt Romney.”

Of course, we all know that the Romney campaign has been stumbling, and as President Obama said on foreign policy, “blubbering and bumbling.”  We hope he continues to make these horrendous mistakes.  We will see who comes on top.

4.1 percent of Americans are on welfare. Let us just imagine that half of them voted and most for Obama. That still only gives you less than 2 percent of Americans. So?What were?you? Republicans saying? About Obama voters? Huh? What? Oh ya, thats right, “It just FEELS that way” to you Romney supporters. Former supporters that is. Also welfare use is higher in republican voting counties. It might be that welfare users are not such democrats across the board. And what is so bad about welfare? I know some mean republicans who want to kick everyone off but they themselves used it when they were down. No we dont want generations to sit on it and not grow. But the rich definitely benefit from the poverty in this country in the form of low wages and expectations of workers. Richard Nixon admitted that high unemployment was good for business. He implied that it was also good for the economy. The biggest lie we have been told is that”what is good for business is good for the economy”. Look at all the huge corporate profits especially in oil companies and banks leading up to the huge 2008 collapse. Where did that oil money go? Not anywhere where we could use it. The resources of this country belong to everyone, not just those who set themselves up properly. Everyone can not be a shark. There have to be fish for the sharks to feed on. When the sharks run out of fish they have to eat each other.

Lies.. Well over 50 million live below the poverty line

Lies! Over 50 milion are reported to live below the poverty line and nearly 50% of legal Americans dont pay any or almost no income tax. That said, 50 million out of 320 million is more than 15% and the comment above is false.. Whites split their vote and minorities do not split their vote on race /gender ines. Further non whites are actually majorities in many american cities now yet still glean all the extra priviledges our government has entitled them to.

45% of EVERY barrel of USA produced oil goes to the US federal governemnt by way of tax of royalty or lease fee .. Again liberals are sharing false views. I confirmed the 45% with a major oil company rep that said they can not safely publish such a fact else risk government reprisal
